What We’ll Cover in the 5R Gut Restoration Framework
Remove
We start by reducing common gut disruptors that drive inflammation and symptoms—this may include certain foods, environmental triggers, and lifestyle factors that strain digestion and the microbiome as well as any potential pathogens by gently shifting the microbiome into more balanced harmony.
Replace
Many people aren’t breaking down or absorbing nutrients well. We focus on supporting digestion by optimizing stomach acid, enzymes, bile flow, and foundational nutrients so your body can actually use the food you eat.
Reinoculate
A healthy gut depends on a diverse and balanced microbiome. We’ll work on restoring beneficial bacteria through strategic food choices and targeted support through probiotic and prebiotic foods as well as supplementation. However, we shouldn’t need probiotic supplements long term!
Repair
The gut lining is critical for immune health, hormone balance, and nutrient absorption. When disrupted we can see inflammation both inside and outside the GI tract and intestines. This phase focuses on calming inflammation and providing the building blocks needed to restore the intestinal barrier function.
Rebalance
Finally, we look beyond food to the most important part of gut health. Stress, sleep, movement, and nervous system regulation all profoundly impact gut health. This phase helps you create sustainable habits that support long-term healing.
